El-Sadat Association for Social development and welfare held a forum revolved around Social Accountability on Wednesday 23rd of April 2014 at Safir hotel in Dokki. Discussion tackled several themes. Session 1 revolved around the tools of social accountability and ways to implement them within the Egyptian context. Also raising the question of what is the legislative structure within the Egyptian constitution for social accountability to take place. Session 2 covered the shared development planning, participatory budget, budgeting and how to draft it. In the final session three tools of social accountability were focused on, Social audit, independent budget analysis and monitoring and evaluation.
