Rule of Law Orientation for Program Participants Takes Place in Menofia

The “Rule of Law” program recently held its orientation workshop, in a series of three meetings, for all program participants. Participants gathered to attend from the University of Menofia. The workshop focused on the program's goals, vision, mission, and values. The staff and participants discussed the meaning and necessity of rule of law in Egypt in light of the current period of democratic transition, and how the program seeks to address this issue by advocating for cultural and legal changes, empowering rural legal advocates, and building a foundation for long-term structural and systematic changes. In total, three orientation workshop meetings were held; two in Menofia at the Tahrir Lounge – Nile Delta, and one in Gharbia. Each meeting had about 150 participants in attendance.
