The role of civil society institutions has become an important basis for the positive participation of society, defining its goals, supporting development programs and encouraging volunteers. Therefore, the Sadat Association held an awareness session for young people in the Governorate of Menoufia on awareness of the Coronavirus and ways to prevent it within the framework of the project implemented by the Association on (Crisis Management through Volunteering, especially COVID-19) in cooperation with the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany between October and December 2020.
The meeting was attended by a group of young men and women interested in public work with different ideologies and ideas, and the youth discussed the role of civil society institutions in achieving political participation through awareness of participation processes and methods to be followed to communicate the ideas and demands of individuals and define the obligations and duties imposed by the participation process. The awareness session dealt with introducing the new Coronavirus, its symptoms, methods and methods of prevention, and the precautionary measures that must be taken to prevent the disease, as well as Mr. / Afifi Mohamed, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Manpower and Professor Lubna Najm (President of the Association for the Advancement of Women and Children) to talk about the societal effects on the most affected groups From women, children and daily labor, the seminar included answering the attendees ’questions, and a workshop on how to wash hands and wear a mask properly.
