Tahrir Lounge was
joined by a group of experts and researchers from the National Council for
Human Rights to work on a program called \"A B Elections\" which
includes a chain of workshops. These workshops focused on electoral system
concepts and definitions, the breakdown of votes and seats in the parliament,
practical voter advice, and an election simulation to experience a run through
of Election Day. Every workshop had 70-80 participants, with a final
participant turn out of about 1500 male and female youth leaders so far. The
workshop stressed the importance of citizen awareness and participation in the
upcoming elections, so much so that by the end of the program a group of
participants organized informational meetings about the elections in their streets,
towns and youth centers.
