In accordance with the awareness conducted by the coordinators of the local councils’ project in the local unit of Denshway (Al-Shuhada Center) during the previous period through community participation sessions and distributing awareness bulletins, a participatory session was conducted in the local unit with an invitation from the local council to discuss the 2011 \ 2012 budget including different groups of the society; citizens, members of the local councils, executive bodies and some NGOs, during the month of May 2011. During the session they discussed the budget in a clear and explicit way.
The participants emphasized the importance of identifying the problems and prioritizing the solutions for these problems. The session ended by prioritize the problems through the opportunities that are available for the council and by agreeing to set a range of other meetings for a wider and more comprehensive discussion
