The project "Strengthening the rule of law in Egypt during democratization" held two discussion groups titled International Legitimacy and strengthening the rule of law, where they clarified the concept of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, international treaties and protocols and international commitment to promote human rights, in addition to explaining how to activate the rule of law based on the those covenants and conventions. Dr. Abul-Kheir Ahmad Attia (Professor of International Law at the Faculty of Law - Cairo University) explained the axes of the discussion in the groups that were held on the 18th and 22nd of November at Al-Tahrir Lounge / Nile Delta. More than 70 lawyers participated in each group from Cairo and Tanta.
