Rule of Law Orientation for Program Participants Takes Place in Gharbia

An orientation workshop for the “Rule of Law” program was recently held in Tanta. The orientation was conducted in cooperation with the Center for International Justice; an active NGO throughout Gharbia. Many students from the University of Tanta’s Faculty of Law joined the orientation, where they learned about the program’s vision, mission, and goals. Program staff also led discussions about the different activities in the program, including legal research, drafting constitutional recommendations, work-experience placements in legal institutions, the establishment of watchdog groups, training media professionals, and the plans for the final conference. The workshop was very successful, as Tanta and the Gharbia governorate have a rich culture of those active in civil society through NGOs, political parties, lobbies, advocate groups, student groups, and more.
